I have a new recommendation. I'll have to say that this is some of the best Mexican food I've had in the Twin Cities. It's a fairly new restaurant that replaced a failed Asian restaurant that seemed to want to put ginger in everything you ate.
Here's the spot:
Perla del Pacifico, 6009 Nicollet Av., Minneapolis, 612-869-5358.
Not that fancy, but the food is so, so good. It's across from Cub Foods on the south side.

| Sorry, I'm not informed enough to answer that one, but I'll describe what I had. I order a steak burrito. What came out was what I would have called a fajita. However, the steak was thinnly sliced and came out as a giant slab. It was about 13-inches long by 6-inches wide. It was really tasty. In fact, it was so good, I decided to eat it as a steak and fill the totillias with the beans, rice and guac that was on the plate too. They also have a large selection of sea food there. They have several mexican drinks like sangria and some drink they were bringing out by the pitcher that looked like milk - but I think it was some sort of fruit drink. |

Sounds delish - sounds Tex-Mex- ask the next time you are there. I didn't mean to sound uppity- but I do know the regional cooking of Mexico and I am always interested in new restaurants that feature regional cooking of Mexico versus Tex-Mex. _________________ LIFE IS GOOD;CABIN LIFE IS GREAT |
