Isn't that a Counter Strike term or something? |
Started long before Counter Strike:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=owned
pwnt/own3d/0wn3d/etc. all the same thing.
My first memory of "Owned" comes from hearing about hackers defacing websites, thus "owning" them. For many people it was commonly used in Quake deathmatches, and for many others it came out of kickbanning people on Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

On the topic of locking threads, Silent Bob and Towlebooth will generally never lock a thread or delete/edit posts unless it's specifically against the registration terms:
http://www.mngca.org/forum/profile.php?mode=register
Or, if it's redundant to another thread it will get locked and then pointed to the thread it was redundant to.
So this worthless thread is perfect: When another worthless thread gets posted they can lock it and point it to this one.

I didn't post what I did to be ripping on Kitch.
I stand in awe of someone with the ability to so succinctly put what looks to me to be a very well done double entendre dead pan.
Four words and then step back and watch.

Ok,,, here is a really funny one :

If you're worried about the Garmin's sucking the battery down when you use WAAS you could always go buy a Lowrance iFinder Go for about $70 and get 48 hour battery life, 16 channels, WAAS, basic mapping and 32Mb memory. It has an available cig. lighter plug, and supposedly a data cable too.
I bought one to see what it was and did it work.
It has a small screen, amber backlight, buttons close together, but otherwise is one heck of a unit for that money. I have used it for caching and it's great for that. The battery life is worth it alone. |
Then,,, like 2 posts later,,, writes :

The iFinder Go from Lowrance is a heck of a lot of unit for $70.
It has 16 channels, WAAS, an available power cable, an available data cable (I haven't seen one but suspect it may be like the old Garmin cables and is a combo job) It gets unbelievable battery life, and it works great.
The down side is that the screen is small, the backlight is amber, and the buttons are close together. |
Is miles58 a Lowrance Rep???

No, this thing has a tendency for some reason to look like it's posting to the forum and then for some reason it never completes.
I went back and edite out the second one but if you read it before I killed it you get to keep it. |
