OK, here's the deal. I just bought a palm specifically for storing cache pages, coords, etc - basically to try paperless. I have no idea what I'm doing. What software do I need, how do I go about using it, etc... HELP! I'll be out of town for a couple days, so have at it - and you can lob shots my way dissing me for being stupid! Oh, and what are Pocket Queries, and how do I use them?

jambro,

I just recently went thru this same ordeal (purchased a palm and knew nothing about it)

The best advice I can give you is to go to the thread PALM?...check out page 3

Early Starts shows a step by step setup of how he stores all the caches of Minnesota in his palm.

I set mine up like this and it is very cool =)

Basically, you set up Pocket Queries to be sent to your email,
you send those (zip files) to GSAK (free download),
you export that to Sunrize (also free)
Sunrize converts info so you can send to Palm thru a hotsync.

Sounds like a lot ...but once it is set up...it is pretty easy to use.

I explored other options but found this to work very well Smile

I know Rino Shawn posted a "look here" note on the thread, but in case you missed it, this is the thread he is referring to.
