I've been looking through posts but can't find any info, so please forgive me if this question has been covered and I'm just not seeing it.
We are very new to geocaching and read with interest about the fall campout held in Eveleth last year. We're just wondering if there is anything similar in the works for this year.
I'm aware of the gathering in Duluth June 4. Just wondering if there's anything in the fall.

The MnGCA Board members encourage all MnGCA General Members to create and host their own events. The Board is currently busy researching, planning, and carrying out the Lester Park Bash for June and it is consuming a good portion of our free time as both s4xton and I have made trips to Duluth to scout possible areas for the event itself and camping for those interested in staying over.
While events *can* be posted to the geocaching.com site 6 months prior there is little need to do anything more than a couple months out.
If anyone in the general membership is interested in hosting a fall event (camping included) feel free

I thought we were having a fall event out my direction? Looking at sometime in October if things work out. Still trying to check on if the facilities will be open that late at Garvin park.
There hasn't been a event out this direction yet and I think it's about time we have one.
SB, do you still have the info from when we talked last fall about this?

I'll look but I don't think I do anymore.
I had contacted Rick K. Anderson out there and spoke with him only about a possible Spring event at Garvin. I'm happy to contact him again with questions about the best time for a fall event if you are still interested in working on it.
I just have to let you know that the first two weeks in September will be bad for me as I'm getting married on the 4th and going to Hawaii on the 10th. I won't return until the 17th.
