SB sent met the list last night for a check and to work a little more. As it stands right now I've got 26 or 27 between here and the hotel on Thursday night. I'll work the Hotel to the Park tonight when I get home from work and get it sent out to those that have provided me e-mails. Those that haven't will either have to get it second hand or download it in the vehicle the morning of. Either way it works. This is going to be one good road trip. Or is it just going to be a TRIP. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

OK gpx files for routes down and back have been sent to those that have provided e-mails. The rest can always get them off the compter the day we leave. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

Doing a quick scan through the caches, I noticed the following:
Friday MOGA Run:
GCAC01 – Puzzle Cache (must find TB to get actual cords.)
GCN3G9 – puzzle multi - it wasn't real clear to me how this one worked
GCKR4A – MOGA Event
GCAB22 – for logging MOGA temp caches
Route Home:
GCGXNQ – puzzle cache
GCF15F – puzzle cache
GCHMN2 – moving cache _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

OK, I'll delete these from the list. I knew the MOGA event was in the list. I wanted it a a point of reference. If there are any other caches that don't look like we want to do them let me know. I'll publish the final list of caches on Monday or Tuesday. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

Just recieved the following email---
-------------Begin snip-------------------
Hello,
How are you doing?
I just need you to confirm the information I have listed below is correct. I need emergency contact information also to keep the insurance company happyJ. Also if you need additional name tags other than for yourself (adults & teens only); please indicate the name and Geocaching name of the other person(s). Are the team members I have listed correct? You will be at a big disadvantage if you try the team event with only three people. If you need to you can probably find a fourth member at the event.

I need to let you know what happened with the meals. Unfortunately the vender in the park had to back out on the catering. There is not enough time to find another caterer so you will have to make your own arrangements for eating. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you.
Sullivan is 4 miles north of the park. They have all of the fast food restaurants along with a Flying J truck stop (Country Market). They also have a couple really good sit down restaurants like Buffalo’s Southwest Café. Buffalo’s is located on the south service road just west of Wal-Mart. Across the highway on the north service road there is a Mom & Pop restaurant called Du Kum Inn. They open at 6:00 a.m. and offer a full breakfast and they serve home made pies and other good desserts.
Thank you for supporting the St. Louis Area Geocachers Association and the Midwest Open Geocaching Adventure.

I guess I never did tell everyone... I did make reservations for three rooms at the Motel 6 in Blue Springs, MO (just east of KC). _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Ok, Moe and I talked about Bobby Tom's (quite an adventure from last year). I looked up the address and mapped it with the current route home. It would add 17 miles to the trip (and probably some time as there is not an interstate between the park and I-55.
Personally I would love to return. It would be up to the group.

s4xton and I have joined Arcticabn in stirring the pot on the necessity of distributing the waypoints to MOGA participants ahead of time. My log:
| Quote: |
Marsha and Silent Bob posted a note for M.O.G.A. 2005 (Event Cache)
S 462.5mi from your home coordinates.
outdoorlady79 sent me an email on 3/27/05, this is a section of it:
"I saw your post about the loc files on the MOGA page. The file should be posted about a week before the event (and an emial with the link sent to all registered users) but you will not know specifically what sets of numbers are for what competitions, event caches, or possibly dummy waypoints untill you arrive at the park and recieve your registration packet."
It's been 9 days. Thanks! |
Hopefully they will get off their duff and get this taken care of. They certainly seem less organized than last year (I realize that different people are heading the event this year) and this is the second time around! _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
