Our very own Joelcam, in addition to all his other talents, is quite the Square Pants Sponge Bob expert! _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

I flipped on the TV this morning just before heading out the door. WCCO was doing some remote fluff-piece on Sponge Bob. The reporter started asking the anchors some SB trivia and whenever they couldn't give the right answer, cameraman Joel was quick to provide it. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! So we should do something newsworthy so they don't need that fluff.

WCCO Anchorman Bill Hudson says he's a big fan. We stumped him on 3 of the 6 questions. One of our guest didn't show up, so we improvised and had a quick round of SB trivia. There is a Family Expo at the Mpls. Convention Center this weekend, so we were out promoting it. Not the biggest news of the day, but oh the magician at the end of the show was priceless. I don't think any of the segments made it on the web. |

Minneapolis (WCCO) A fire has engulfed an entire block in Northeast Minneapolis.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Central Avenue and Lowry. Firefighters put out the fire and left the scene, thinking the fire was out.
Authorities said the fire restarted shortly before 3 a.m. and quickly spread to nearby buildings.
WCCO-TV photojournalist was at the buildings when the fire suddenly restarted. He called firefighters back to the building.
Tom’s Tanning and Salon, a government office and apartments were all destroyed in the fire.
The apartment building had 10 units, nine of which were occupied. Authorities believe everyone in all the buildings got out safely, but three cats died in the fire.
One firefighter was treated for minor injuries. No one was seriously injured.
Firefighters were still working to put out the fire nearly four hours after the fire began.
