i wasn't surprised 3 people voted for ya, s4xton. i figured a few people knew it was you, unless you were hiding your poker life in the shadows from everybody here. i wasn't surprised that the king had several votes, because he has made references to playing cards, and is a known handicapper at canterbury. i am not sure why CAG had multiple votes. i don't know much about CAG, so perhaps there's a reason for it, and i'm simply not aware.
it was pretty funny to see a geocaching name i knew at a table during that monday night tournament. i rarely watch people play online poker, so it was quite the coincidence.
i would end voting in the poll, but i'm not sure how. your total of 3 prior to the "sure bet" vote, does not include a vote from me. so that means 3 people either knew or guessed right. i am sure at least two people knew the answer. i think kitch said he was one, and i was sure SB knew. i think he was trying to tell me that, without so many words, and i simply assumed it was a comedic coincidence.
by the way, have you ever had a royal flush or seen one? i don't know how rare they really are. i have had a straight flush a couple of times at the free tables, but i have never seen a royal. |

Well, odds of getting a royal flush on the flop with 5 cards is 1 in 650,000. It's a bit easier after the turn and river to get it, though. I've personally beat someone with 4 of a kind when they had a straight flush that was almost a royal flush, but I don't think I've ever seen a royal flush on the showdown.
Concerning the poll, I told Silent Bob about it right as it happened, and I'm guessing Kitch guessed - I think he knows I play poker... but Sui Generis knows for sure that I play.
Either way - I'm going to make a few bucks right now... BBL.

you have confused me. a straight flush beats 4 of a kind, so how did you beat their hand if you had four of a kind?
by the way, what's your best tournament finish, at poker room or elsewhere? |

Er, other way around. I had the straight flush. My bad.

I've only won cash in a tournament once on pokerroom.com, and it was the last cash prize. Pokerroom.com is the only site I play. I generally play ring games and I'm much more profitable there.
