It's that time again! Starting to get ready to make our trip down to MO for the 2nd annual MOGA! The original thread was here. The event page is located here.
The dates are April 8th to the 10th, 2005 in Sullivan, MO. 689 miles from Minneapolis. We would likely spend Thursday caching most of the way down and I assume we would return on Monday. Plan accordingly.
I have made *two* camp site reservations for us. They are side by side and can be located on this map (#110 and #108). Pictures of the individual sites are #108 and #110. I reserved it for both at max capacity (two *tents* and six people on each site). I have a feeling we won't make that but at least we won't be giving them any surprises if it does get to that point. If you were planning on bringing a camper or something you'll have to make your own reservations.
I am going to be planning a pre-event event here in the Cities to have an individual course and a team course. Hopefully someone else would be willing to work with me to get that put together and ready to go.
If you have any questions, etc, post away. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I woke up this morning with a great idea.
If you want to make the practice realistic.
Somebody is going to need to host a "get sauced" event the night before the practice.
OH I can feel the pain now.

Okay, so if we want to represent our great state of Minnesota we should include some from the north! I'm in! Having met many of those going already I think it will be a blast. It will just be me as the other 2/3rds of Team Hooligan will have to stay behind. I have talked with Towlebooth about the event and he convinced me to join in. Keep me up to date as the plans are made for our April Trip south.

I'm in--Aside from a work-related trip to Chicago a year ago, I haven't been out of state in over two years (hitting a few caches just over the border doesn't count), so I'm due. Sounds like it was a good time this year, and should be more of the same next year. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

I'm going to say tentative at this point. My wife claimed the weekend last fall before the dates were announced. She had planned a weekend with the girls in Duluth. So I won't know for about a month if I'm in or out. But for the time being I'd at least like to have a place with the group. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

Well, I'm upgrading to probable. I've got the vacation time, I've got the money and the only thing stopping me now is a family emergency or an unscheduled business trip. As it stand now, I in.
Oh and by the way wait until you see the topo map I made of the area. This is going to take a lot of banana and beer for this trip.
If all reports from last year say that it was hilly terrain my guess is that this is an order of magnatude higher. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |
