Arctic- I replied to you via e-mail.

Everyone- how are we picking teams? Same group as last year as a team then the rest of us form a new team or teams? Maybe mix it all up? Maybe a draft after Silent Bob's Punch-Out? Wink Maybe a competition at Silent Bob's Punch Out?

Maybe some people already have preferences of who they want on their teams: they can define them and the rest of us can work from there. Maybe?

Thoughts?

I'm not adverse to anything. Flipping a coin, pulling names from a hat, etc. It all depends on the level of competition we want to offer in MO. If we are "defending" our title we need to make sure the best cachers are there to do so.

If we don't really care and just want to have fun then I don't see why it would make a difference.

Is anyone interested in say a 6 or 12 stage group event on the 26th? I could make sure to plan for something like that. Just let me know. If it was 6 or 12 it could be for teams of 2 or 3.

Will we have enough for 2 4-person teams?

Do we want to assemble our most competitive people into one team?

Or do we create two evenly matched teams and have some intra-state competition?

I could go either way and have a great time.

The big question on my mind is this:

Will Moe be a contentious objector again this year or is he interested in participating?

Well, we have more than 10 people attending from the initial count on here and the cache page itself. I figure 10-15 would be our max.

We can decide on the day there if you guys want to do a team event and I will make sure to hide the team stages on my own so that anyone other than me can compete in the competition...

Let me put it this way.... my heart won't be broken if I don't compete, particularly in a team event.

I just submitted my registration via their website and I'm good to go on the individual level. It appears that in order to compete in the team event someone has to front the $16/team fee and the other will pay their $4 share.

Because we don't know what the teams are, as of yet, and we don't even know how many people are going I have decided to wait until we get closer to the actual event.

I think that my total was $33 for the registration, the course fee, and the t-shirt. Please note that if you are planning on using their food service you will have to pay in cash.

OK I'm registared. I footed the bill for one Team. So at least two more members need to get registared. So far it sounds like only SB and myself have registared.

Equipment I can bring.

1 large tent (4 to 6 persons).
4 FRS Radios
1 Large Cooler
Couple of Battery (6v) Camp Lights

I just registered for the event. And... get this... I even signed up for the "Individual B" competition, in spite of what I told Hooligan yesterday!

I have registered for the Individual B and MOGA. I can confirm that it is $33 for these + a T-shirt.

In addition I formally request to be a part of the team event. I have not registered a team so do you have a spot for me Arcticabn?

Sure, though I just footed the initial bill for a team. I'm still waiting for us to decide who is actually going to be on the team. I want to be, you, but who else. Or the question is do we have enough to field two teams.

If the original champs want to compete as a team again I think that is their right to defend. If there are enough to form a second team so be it. If the originals all don't want to participate in the team event then we field a new team.

Either way, we are covered for one team so far. The MOGA has asked me for names but I've put them off. So far we only have 4 registared for the event. So, I'm not even sure that we have a team yet.

Sorry guys, but I'm out--I need that weekend to finish my obligation to Dakota County that I've discussed FTF with a few of you at the PunchOut--I need to get that situation resolved so I don't have that albacore hanging around my neck all spring. Like I said last year, I'm in for next year, and I mean it this time!!!

I haven't regestered yet so if a 2nd team is needed I can get it. If last years team doesn't go back and defend the title it would be like the champs did'nt show up! Even thou they may be on other teams. I formaly request to be added to a team. the champs can do as they want but I think they should DEFEND there TITLE! but this is just one mans opinion Cool

Just a friendly reminder if you plan on attending you need to register by April
6, 2005. You must register to compete and to find the event caches.

Thank you,
