What am I missing? I don't see a problem. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

I'm trying to build my own "my caches" list, like they used to be listed. I have a lot of the ID numbers, plus it's kind of cool to see where they rank. Is this the 4713th cache placed? What number did they start at?
Anyway, NOW I would have to copy/paste crap like this:
=0f1cd000-6591-497d-8c0d-1c084f23fdbc
I guess I could start over, and use the waypoint links.
... or just forget about it. They're all gonna disappear anyway. |

I just got frustrated when I was linking to cache pages elsewhere by cacheID and found that they had changed it (months ago BTW) to those stupidly long asdjfasd9f892j45s9d8f09 things).
This was the easiest solution I could find outside of using the waypoint link. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Jod did this because someday the number of caches will exceed the number that a signed 32-bit integer can hold (about 2 billion). Rather than have a flag day, he decided to make the change early and head off the inevitable. I heard some guy was hiding caches at an incredible rate.

Why did Jeremy do this?

http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#vacation
In Wisconsin, on Hwy 21, from I-94 to I-39 there are three Lil Otter caches very close. A few others are in the area. I don't remember the distance (50-60 miles?) but it's incredible the number of county parks, city parks, etc. along that route.
I could have easily placed 10 caches, but I was on "vacation" |
