No, they likely wouldn't be in your sent folder but it is probably a fake.

pif attachments are always infectious. There is no reason (99.99% of the time) that anyone would send you one. Your email provder should have stripped the attachment before it got to you.
I would never open an attachment unless I was expecting it.
