Nelson was appointed Director of the Utah State Division of Parks and Recreation in February of 1993. He was responsible for the administration, planning and operation of Utah’s 41 state park facilities and for the administration of the off-highway vehicle program, the non-motorized trail program and the Utah boating program. He supervised 300 full-time, 250 part-time employees and over 500 volunteers.
If he setup off-road vehicle parks and was in charge of so many parks maybe he will be more apt to allow Geocaching in our fine state?

I know they allow geocaching and events in state parks in Utah - the article seems to make him sound quite sane and reasonable about the real purpose and usages of state owned parks. This is a good thing.
I suppose I should contact somebody at Utah Association of Geocachers to see if anyone out there has ever had contact with this guy and find out about him. |

Just make sure we never invite him to a "Get Sauced Event" and let him in on our "special cache" ideas
