In the past little over a year, I have run into:

TeamLenz while I was trying to avenge a DNF at his cache Pole 20;

Sheriff14 at Wobegon Hotrod, in FTF race;

ProjectHansen at Buggin' Out Returns. I was doing maintenance on a cache of my own in the area, and they were trying to look stealthy;

CMTEI at Eine Reise nach Jerusalem, in Germany;

brisobel at Lake Itasca State Park Avian Adventure. I had already found it;

canterandrace at Tettegouche State Park Avian Adventure;

bflentje and Norvina at Gas Saver 4: Wadena Parks;

wisjanine at If You Build It, They Will Come (GC4R7PP)

After signing my name under Rockwood68's name all day, I finally caught up to them (actually, passed them on my way to) ACLD 2014 Willow River Crossing yesterday afternoon. We compared notes and maps for a few minutes before we separated ways and continued on our afternoon's. Always nice to meet cachers in the woods.

I came across GuelphHiker and his wife at Hotel TB et GÉOCOIN (le Gîte des Passants) last week while travelling from Quebec City to Montreal.

I came across inzl putting on her best stealth hat at HotelMarket Square / Kauppatori today. I made the find yesterday, but happened across the spot today and noticed her trying to act inconspicuous.

I think she spoke very little, if any English, because the conversation was very brief. Just a lot of smiles and nodding. I am not good at all in most languages.

A muggle friend I went to college with posted something on facebook and I commented on it. The next commenter, one of his friends, had a really familiar-looking name and face. Turns out he's a cacher (bolosky); I found a bunch of his caches near Seattle in 2010 when I went there for Geo-Woodstock.

In case that's not on topic enough, this year I also ran into Tracker JACS at an FTF (GC5B1ZG). Also a group of us ran into MBergerMeister while working on GC5BD95. He helped us with a stage he had already found but had to leave before we finished.

Yesterday my sister and I went after High Ground and finally met bouffantloup out on the trail. Always nice to meet people on the trail.

I recall this is where Cushman Rider and EskoClimber had their first meeting many years ago. Really odd how people seem to meet out here, deep in the swamp, at least 20 miles from anything resembling a warm meal or comfortable place to stay, and an area which at times goes multiple years between cache finds.

Today when I stopped at Mississippi Welcomes You - Woodville I met Pamelap2013.
I wasn't searching for the cache, per se, but I knew there was one at the rest area someplace. As I walked down the sidewalk I went right past a couple who took off their stealth hats and left them on a park bench as they crawled around and under the bench, as was the rest area attendant who happened to be the one who told me there was a cache there.

I learned this couple lives in Houston, Texas, and I was excited to hear that, as I have a cousin who is an active cacher in Houston. I was hoping they knew each other, but no such luck. Oh well, it's always nice to meet cachers on the trail.

Today I stopped to grab Moderate Sudoku. When replacing the cache, I heard a nearby voice ask me if I were geocaching. After a short shoutfest across a small valley, I drove over to meet the CO Kirk F at his front door. After about a 20 minute chat about caching in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, it was time for me to hit the road again.

Always so nice to meet cachers along the trail.

Today (Saturday) at an event in Hawaii my wife and I ran into Bus&Betty (Bob & Patty). We hadn't seen them since they moved to Texas back in 2011. They were here with their grandson, enjoying the sun and getting in some caching. It was great to catch up on their travels and family. They will be back in Minnesota for a Vikings game this fall.
