...to find the date and time that a cache log was posted? Not the date of the find (or of the DNF or whatever) but the date and time the log was actually posted on the cache page. Just wondering...

Not sure you'll get what you want, at least not from a GPX file. If you peer into a PQ, you'll find..

Code:
<groundspeak>2013-07-08T19:00:00Z</groundspeak>

It's always 19:00:00Z for every Found It I find in all of my PQs, which is 6 hours ahead of CDT, or as you know as +6 during CST. Looks like all caches are found at 1pm PST.

Ok, the xml doesn't look like the above. The forum software keeps stripping the real tags out..

I don't think this is possible, but you can get a rough idea of when a log was posted (the date, not the time) by looking at the GL code. For example, here's a log I posted:

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=cf3859ed-d42f-4c0b-b0d7-4c4b85d0646a

Here the code is GLC16518. Look at http://coord.info/GLC16517 and you'll see that it was posted with a date of 8/26/2013. It's a "published" log, so it probably wasn't backdated. If you look at the next log, http://coord.info/GLC16519 , it has a date of 8/24/2013, but it was probably posted on 8/26/2013 or later. (That's why I said "rough idea".)

I never noticed the GL code. If I interpret it correctly it is assigned to logs in the order in which they were created in the same way that the GC code is assigned to caches in the order in which they are created. This is exactly what I was hoping to know. Many thanks!!!
