Spent the day caching in the St Croix State Forest with Comkelp. Really off of our game on this one. Just about ready to give up after widening our search radius quite a bit, only to return to GZ and see a large tin sitting right in plain sight. OMG, some days I could not find a 55 gallon bucket painted orange. Despite the long search on an easy cache, we put ink to paper and moved along. Thanks for the cache.

Keep On Cachin In The Free World.

I would post my log in the "traditional" format, but it kind of loses something if you don't see the accompanying picture. I am nominating myself for most creative log for a Park and Grab Cache...

Log of the day? I'd nominate this as log of the year.

Wow, that's convenient! If you like caches at murder scenes, I'd recommend this one, but it's been archived.. http://coord.info/GCY7MC It was about 330 feet away from where they found a body in the trunk of a car in the parking lot. Somebody found the cache with his 4-year-old son the same day before the body was found. Creepy..

330 feet?? Jeeze that might require effort! Very Happy This one was just too odd since it was in the traditional Wal-Mart location right behind my truck. Makes me wonder how many other caches I've been sitting on top of when I'm all around town in a live truck. I have to remember that fancy c:geo app I have more often!

That was my son and I. We came into the park from the east so we never set foot in the parking lot. I think we were there before or after the police did there thing because there were no police cars or any other activity from them when we were there, We would have noticed a whole bunch of police cars etc.. I actually talked to one of the investigators about what we may have seen. I'm sure we were of no help as we didn't see any thing that could help them.

theodellfamily found "t" @ SDSF (Letterbox Hybrid) at 8/25/2013

Log Date: 8/25/2013

t is for tough, toughest one for me.. t is for terrible bounce with my GPS. t is for time, a long time for me to find. t is for trashed rotting logs nearby that that appear to have been thoroughly searched by previous seekers. t is for thrilled, that's me upon making the find. t is for thanks as in TFTC.

I worked very hard to get all the neat state, province and country souvenirs. Since I donít want them to go to the bottom of the souvenir page and Groundspeak is not letting cachers opt out of the unwanted and childishly drawn graffiti souvenirs for the month of August. To keep track of my finds I will be logging a note on the day I found the cache and an official find on July 31st.

Sharknose Bunnies found Star Trek V: The Romulan Mystery (Traditional Cache) at 8/28/2013

Log Date: 8/28/2013
Co-FTF with troutonthebrain and delkan1066 [Smile] Late this afternoon troutonthebrain texted me wondering if I wanted to go look for the yet unfound 5-star Rustynails hide in Bloomington. It was then that I did the smartest thing I did all evening: text delkan1066, aka "The Cacher Who Finds Everything." He was up for an adventure, and soon the three of us were heading toward ground zero armed with every TOTT imaginable.

Now, I was going to write a very helpful and descriptive log giving away subtle hints to help others find the cache, but shortly after delkan made his amazing find, several black helicopters appeared overhead, and soon Cache Integrity Police started dropping from the skies. We were surrounded, and they had photos of my children and pets. Needless to say, I promised them that I wouldn't give away even a vapor of a hint on this cache. So here is my log, with the helpful stuff removed:

We got to ground zero and started looking around. Pretty quickly (redacted). So we all (redacted) and looked around for a long time. We weren't having much luck, and then delkan said, (redacted). I said, "Dude, you're whacked upside the head!" But we (redacted) anyway. After a while (redacted). (redacted) hit it with a sledgehammer! "OMG! The rock broke in half!" Hahaha! So we figured out that (redacted). But the rope wasn't long enough. I'm glad troutonthebrain is young, because if I (redacted), I'm sure I would have broken both legs. With things tied off better, delkan and I (redacted). Wow, I've never seen so many cobwebs! (redacted) sarcophagus (redacted). I'm glad I had my jackknife, because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to suck the poison out. (redacted) (redacted). "OMG! He found it! Nice work delkan!" (redacted)(redacted) FTF party!

Thanks for the cool hide! Favorite point from me! (7124)

MastahMatt found Winter Friendly #3: The Foundation (Traditional Cache) at 9/8/2013

Log Date: 9/8/2013
Oh my gosh, the nettles back here were so bad (and I was dumb enough to come back here in shorts) that when I got to GZ, I was shaking from all the mad urges to itch everything until I bled. And that was the case even though I used a long stick to machete away a lot of them on my way through. They are very pretty in big carpets covering the forest floor as far as you can see, but they are a special type of heck to go through. The mosquitoes fortunately weren't too bad, or they would have made it pure misery to go for this cache this time of year. Next time I'm down here in the summer, it's long pants all the way. TFTC!

"Had some time to spare waiting for E to get out of religion class..so made more sense too come here than home. Gets dark in here fast. Made for a spooky walk back and needed flash light for the hunt. Studied one beacon before i walked and spotted the goods. Nice hide. Grabbed the coin and traded for container..which is already in play! TFTH."

Ok, there is probably a different meaning behind this than the one that runs through a cache owners mind. In a cache owner's mind this sounds like a nightmare. =) Not your everyday log then.
