I can easily put a placement date of May 30, 2000 on a cache I place today.

But the GC code would be a dead giveaway.

And while you can, why would you do this?

D.B. Cooper did it, but it's strangely been changed to 7/19/2008. That thing totally messed up my stats.

Yeah, cause you're a big stats guy Rolling Eyes

Someone at Groundspeak changed the date to the current date. I had the date to help with the solve of the puzzle, but lots of "stats" people must have complained about it for it to be changed.

Leaving in a few hours. If everything goes to plan, by this time next week I should have the oldest in KY, GA, and FL. Have to drive on past the oldest in NC and SC because of the long mountain hikes involved. Maybe next time.

I have driven by GCFA on US 41 (it's a shortcut to Homestead) many times when we lived in FL, but always passed it up. Way too many mosquitoes to go in there in the summer. My advice is to bring a headnet and put it on before you get out of the car. Tides won't be a problem that far inland........Gators, on the other had, will be an issue any time you get close to fresh water. They are as thick as turtles on a log on a sunny day in MN. And they are protected.

We've planned for skeeters and gators. Now whether or not we planned properly, that's altogether a different thing. Shocked

Today I found GC1DD, British Columbia's oldest geocache. I wasn't even trying to do it; I just checked for the next nearest cache and saw it had "BC's oldest cache" in the title!

Looking to do this next week. Not sure if wifey will let me get that far off route on our way to Hope, BC from Seattle but I am going to try.

Laura (no name) and I just scored a find on Europe's First. Nice walk along the cliff to an ammo can. Got to love it.
