Hey, I know one local cacher who NEVER puts a pencil in the caches he hides, and even brags about it in his descriptions. Laughing

A good cacher never needs to have a pen/pencil provided to them. Just saying.

I think Gat-R-Done is just trying to pad his hours with Groundspeak by sifting through all these listings... maybe even clocking all the hours as Overtime even and.... oh wait time and half of zero is still zero. Hmmm new theory needed, but thanks for the clarification and the efforts!

Are there general guidelines anywhere for when to post a 'Needs Maintenance' log that I can refer the cacher to. I hope they don't log a 'NM' every time they dnf a cache.

Just common sense. I'm sure any discussion about something as subjective as this would be like discussion on the usage of the "Available in Winter" attribute. Smile

My concern is the possibility of geo-trash accumulating when NM caches are archived and the CO is long gone. How is the best way to handle this? Local cachers taking it upon themselves to clean up after reviewer archival?

Good question. Might be something for the MnGCA or local groups to organize. I think in many cases, caches archived by reviewers were just plain no longer there. That is usually the main reason they were disabled in the first place.

More common might be cachers who quit caching and just archived all of their caches without removing them. I'm sure those are still out there.
