Well, if you really want to find one if the best family friendly multi's in Minnesota, The Troublemaking Spy by Diehard50248 is just the cache for you.
This is a true 'family friendly' cache that you will be talking about for a long time. It's a good example of why we seek out geocaches........for a fun family activity.
I could just say this: With 23 finds and 23 'Favorite' points awarded (as of 3-31-12), that alone should be enough to tell you this is a fabulous cache.
Every stage of this multi is fun and extremely creative...........in true Diehard50248 style. At 7, the number of stages sounds like it'll take a while, but there's no need to fear. It will take you over an hour in total and each stage is a different field puzzle to solve on-site. We brought 3 kids along aged 4, 8, and 11. The 11 year old did all the puzzle solving and had a blast doing so. There is one stage that Diehard50248 must have spent the entire winter crafting. You will have to experience the cache to find out about that stage. The 'equipment' list should be looked at and given some serious consideration. We didn't use boots, as GW knew the area quite well. This particular area has many footpaths, so there is no need to do any bushwacking if you carefully plan your routes.
Have fun......I know you will. Add a Favorite Point and vote for 'Cache of the Month' when the April voting is available.
Here's a picture (approved by CO) of the 4 year old holding one of the puzzles. He's smiling, as we just finished solving it.

I fully agree. This was a wonderfully thought out multi. If you made several 2 stage multis they would be fun, but putting them all together just made it rock that much more.

Sounds like it might make a good one for our Mother's Day adventure for this year. Thanks!

This is definitely a fun, family-friendly cache. The field puzzles are all very well done individually, and as a group go well together. The area is very well provided with trails (that you can use or not) and has plenty of opportunity for seeing some local wildlife. The final cache is well stocked with swag, and the story that runs through the cache is very well put together. Altogether deserviong of the number of favorites it has received.

I walked thru TMS yesterday. Five of the seven stages are very winter friendly. The other two shouldn't be too hard to find. All stages are in great shape and function like new. The area is beautiful this time of year and the paths are being used on a regular basis by deer and the old fella that likes to walk his dog back there. So in a nutshell...it's good to go.
