I realize that most folks have Garmins, but out of desperation, I have to see if anyone has any advice for a Lowrance. Yesterday it was working find, but today I turned it on, and I got the initial picture of mountains an streams and whatnot, then the screen goes white with a message that says, "Press and briefly hold a stylus or any similar marking instrument on the center of cursor to recalibrate toucn screen." I did that, then it said, "tap screen to save settings." And now the screen is white. So I turned it off and on again, I get the initial picture, and then the screen goes white. All buttons are completely unresponsive.

i've never used a lowrance before but here is my guess. look for a reset button, i would assume it could be under the battery cover. i know i have had to do that a time or dozen with my magellan...good luck!

You might also be able to call Lowrance, a couple of times I've had to call Garmin, stand outside and they pinged it somehow and reset/fixed my screen issues via satellite.

I'd try pulling the battery, press the power key to discharge any remaining charge, then replace the battery and see if it powers up correctly. I've had to do that with my Oregon before.
