All IDNR caches will be archived on November 7th. The owner has 30 days to register it. When it is registered, IDNR will notify the Reviewers to enable/unarchive the cache.

... or something like that.

Greetings. Just wanted to inform you that the IDNR has instituted a new Geocaching policy. Details can be found here http://www.in.gov/dnr/7488.htm You will now need a permit for any caches on their property. This permit can be found in the above website.

I am trying to save the oldies. You have one that qualifies.

The worst part of the policy is that the caches have to be within 25ft of the trail. I wanted to give you a heads up. If you are not going to permit would you consider adopting out your cache to someone that would take care of it? Thanks for the time.

a HUGE PITA, but after two months, it's active again.

... or, as Ginger says:

A permit is now on file for this cache. Come and get it! Smile

Earthcaches.

My fear is that the licensing requirements will make hiding caches more work than it is worth, and caches will not be placed. But then again, maybe the end result will be higher quality caches?

Yes I stay away from state parks and Three Rivers for that reason - It's just not worth the hassle
