|
|
Hey everyone! I am just wondering if anyone has seen any places that sell Pathtag displays. I have seen a couple on eBay, Crazycaches.com, and also geoclocks.com but I am not finding what I want. It seems like the ones that I want (at Crazy Caches) are sold out.
Does anyone know where these are made or where anyone else is making them?
Thanks! _________________ ~~ I was told all I needed was a GPS. I wanted everything else. ~~ |

I have actually been thinking about ordering the right sized bit for my drill press and taking a shot at making one myself.
If I do, I'll let you know (if I can remember). I imagine I will be very excited out the results. |

Hmmm I am not very crafty... but I might have the drill bit at home. How hard would it be to cut a slab of tree? maybe cut some holes, sand it down and varnish it? This sounds like a fun event / project maybe. _________________ ~~ I was told all I needed was a GPS. I wanted everything else. ~~ |

Yeah. I think the tricky bit is using a forstner bit (which leave a flat bottom) and then counter sink another smaller hole inside it to glue in a small magnet to hold them in place.
You can probably buy a slice of a log from Rocklers or ebay or something. |

| I can't remember where I saw it, but someone sells a 25 or 50 or 100 path tag display that is pretty cool. It's wood, has holes the exact size for a path tag cut into it, then a small magnet put into each hole to hold the tag in place. I like the magnet idea, and it looks beautiful. |
