I was looking at a cache I had found last year that I was considering using for a Challenge and got curious about a couple of TB's I had dropped into it. What I discovered was that there is a person

that has about 50 trackables in their possession (that they don't own) but has not officially logged any finds at all. Doesn't look like they have dropped any trackables either. Not really sure where they are located but the cache I dropped the TB's into is in Akeley. Just thought I'd give folks a heads up about this. |

| One of our TB's is there too. What is the point of someone doing that? |

and they haven't logged on since September of 2011, one day after they opened the account. _________________ If you're successful in what you do over a period of time, you'll start approaching records, but that's not what you're playing for. OK couple of observations.
Some of these bugs were reported as missing as much as a year before they were logged by ifoundyou2000.
8 of the bugs were either marked as missing or located in caches that were archived as much as 9 months before this person logged them.
He/she grabbed one of the bugs that was dropped at the North Woods Geocaching Event by Uffda320 a month after the event. So either he/she was there or someone else took it put it in a cache and never logged it out or in, right?
The locations were the TBs were located are quite dispersed.
On the north end it seems the furthest north was Bemidgi.
On the south end it seems to be south of 94 and west of Alexandria.
One was last located in a cache in Florida.
The majority of the bugs were last located in caches in the Walker/Park Rapids area. If you draw a line between Bemidgi, Walker, Park Rapids and Alexandria, you have the range of caches that were hit.
So who ever it was had to have taken them over a period of time. The one in Florida for instance was placed on 8/14/11 and logged by this person on 9/10/11. Same day they logged all 51 bugs.
Logic would say that the person had been collecting them over a period of time, that they live in or around the Walker/Park Rapids area and the attended (although may not have signed in) to the event. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |
