| I guess not many of us remember the whole "ringbone" saga. It was someone who didn't like a change in the cache guidelines a few years back, and wasn't getting much support from other cachers in the gc.com forums - as I recall, they were getting slammed pretty good. So they created a sock puppet account, and tried to post under that account, but didn't log out of their original account, so their next post still had "ringbone" as the author. Then they posted again, saying "why does my post say 'ringbone?'" |
It is an epic thread...comes up every so often... _________________ You may only be young once...but I will be immature forever!!! |

Here's the thread: http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=66018&st=150
I first heard of ringbone because of his Tre-sure caches with big FTF prizes, which I thought were a cool idea, so when I heard about the sock puppet screwup, I was surprised it was the same guy. |

All he wanted was some pie. Is that such a crime? Is there anything more wholesome than apple or cherry pie? Oh, peach pie…Yummmmm! He cleaned his plate and waited patiently for the nod from Grandma indicating it was time. Like a puff of wind, Aunt Nancy appeared from behind his high backed chair holding in her hands a pie still steaming through the fork holes in the crust indicating it had just been retrieved from the oven. She gently placed it in front of him and she asked the table “does anyone want some pie?”. In an instance, little Jack reached out and plunged his thumb into the pie, digging it deep in the filling. All at the table watched in shock as he slowly desecrated the pie. There was no plum. Bummer _________________ Ahhhhhhhh, the power of cheese!

In a pie, he should have been looking for plums. Not plumbs. No wonder the pie was needlessly desecrated. |

Useless exists on many levels, but you can't hold the whole thread responsible for the poor spelling of a single, sick twisted individual. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole geocaching system? And if the whole geocaching system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our geocaching institutions in general? I put it to you, ArcherDragoon - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to me, but I’m not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America! _________________ Ahhhhhhhh, the power of cheese! |

I don't care if the pie has "plumbs". Just don't put any dang cheeze in it. |
