I am from Alexandria and my parents and my daughter live there now so I spend a lot of time up there. Beautiful country. Lots of caches in the area. One of my puzzles was published in December and still has yet to be found!
Ok, enough shameless self-promotion. I'll help as much as I can. Too bad I won't be back from my vacation until 10 March, otherwise I'd join y'all that weekend.

BigChief - we're very glad to have you help us out. We're thinking of Chippewa park? Any other ideas? Keep us up to date. |

Chippewa Park would be a good choice. Assuming you don't mind not being right in the city, of course...
It's good sized, and rarely used. |

Is someone going to update the first post with the location?
I will be in Alex this weekend, putting out some new caches in Runestone Park |

Great! It would be really nice if there were several more permanent ones along the trails before the event. We also hope to put in one or two that will go live the day of the event. |

| Do the Boy Scouts have locations picked out? It's best to coordinate permanent cache placement amongst those placing them in the park since they most likely won't be published until event day. Who is heading up cache placement coordination? |

I haven't heard back from the Scouts. I talked to Carl (one of the assistant leaders) a few days ago, but haven't heard back.
I would say place a few in Runestone, but also Chippewa and Spruce Hill. |

| Has the final date been set yet? No spring event has been published for May 2012 yet. I know a few of us would like to start planning. |

WestSideDaddy has the web page set to go, but hasn't put it up yet. We did announce on the Facebook page. |
