The MMCC (Monday Morning Caching Crew), sparked by Two of Hearts, with accompaniment by myself, ThePurplePuppy, Mazenrol, Butcher and others have been wanting to automate the build of a custom PQ that includes only caches in an area that none of us has.
TOH did one the other day manually, and it was a big help. I am able to do the same thing automatically with GPSBabel, but that requires command line work, and since my first windows machine was Win 3.31, nearly all the neurons that were happy doing command line work have died, I'd like to see how to do it with a GUI.
Is there a way to do that in GSAK, perhaps with a macro? I could probably learn to do macros, but I was hoping to find something someone else figured out. |

I'm sure there's an easy way. That said, here's how I do it:
Starting with a *copy* of my unfound caches in the area of interest.
Clear all user flags.
Import everyone else's found list. Click on the box on the import screen to set the user flag. Delete those that have the user flag set.
Done. You now have a list that is your unfound caches in the area of interest, minus every else's found caches. _________________ Hmm... |

| Ok. Thanks. I'll have to get a bit more comfortable with GSAK, but I see how it works. |

| On my iphone on advanced search, you can exclude finds for up for 5 users in addition to yourself. Seems like it would be great to plan and carry out group caching expeditions. |

| The Advanced Search on Android has that capability too; but I haven't used that feature yet though. I have used the Intersection macro in GSAk to find the common unfound caches within multiple pocket queries. [/quote] |

Pearhead's answer is pretty good. Main thing is it will work. The intersection feature is something I hadn't found yet. Shows if the idea is to remove the hide from a cat, then there's more than one way to do it.
Thanks for all the input. |
