Use extra caution when caching at Wirth Lake in the area of this cache http://coord.info/GC35VY9 . Don't cache alone, cache with another person.

| After reading Sharknose Bunnies FTF log, I think I know what's going on there. |

| Saw this one when it came out and we live only three miles away--but not brave enough to travel in that park at night. This park has had a shifty reputation since we first lived here, as far back as the 70s. Honestly, we don't go there during the day either. Sad! |

| I typically put my permit to carry to use when we travel into the cities. I hope and pray I will never have to use it, but just in case. |

| Sadly, I have heard that the Palmer Lake park to the north also has a bad reputation. So far, in all my travels, the MN rest area on I-94 just on the MN side of the river is the only place where I have stumbled into "casual hookup" territory. It's more common than you think and it's a problem that plagues regional parks and highway rest areas. |

Somehow I don't think hanging out at Wirth after dark with a concealed firearm, permitted or not, would hold well against the use of deadly force laws in the state of MN. And that's coming from someone who IS permitted to carry as well. |

Is that how my statement came across?? If so, you need to reread what I wrote. Especially the "hope and pray I never have to use it" part. |

I had a similar -- although fortunately not as explicit -- encounter at one of KB's caches in Crosby:
my log - jonas' log
Also, rustynails., I just sent you a question via gc.com... |
