| I just received an e-mail for a survey for groundspeak. Surveymonkey.com anyone ever get one like this. havent went to the web site yet but its says the link in the e-mail is tied to my e-mail and account. ????? |
In the GC Email they send out weekly last week they said they would be sending out Surveys to selected geocachers. Check that email, it said who the survey would be from, but based on that alone, I say the survey is from GC. |

Do you have the link to that survey? I'd be a good link to have on the MnGCA website. |
I believe the survey is only good for those that received the invitation, not for everyone. _________________ Hmm... |

We received an invitation to participate. It was pretty basic, how are we doing, what can we do better, and what feature could you do without?
Overall very basic. |

| Oh but you probably missed the trial balloon being floated of an increase in premium membership to 35 bucks a year. Otherwise yes, a generic survey at best. And yes the survey is only valid for the email account to which it was sent. |

| I got and did the survey and I did note price increase trial balloon. Though the one thing that WAS fun for me was getting to check the category of low long I've been geocaching that was the longest (I started in 03.) Hey I'm an early adopter! |

| Groundspeak should try splitting off its geocaching business into a new brand called "Quikcaching," reclassify all challenges as geocaches, and raise the cost of a premium membership. I bet that would go over well. It certainly worked for Netflix. |

This is a false statement. I have done two "challenges" and they were both fun. The one for "Biting the Cherry" could stand a lone as a virtual, but biking the mountain bike trail at Murphy Hanrehan really wouldn't work. You could put regular caches on the bike trail, but after reading the logs on some of them, it is pretty evident that few people actually bike to them. The purpose of that challenge is to actually bike the trail. I took on the challenge and had a blast doing it. I am not a fan of taking pictures (the "Go Somewhere") but I am a huge fan of the action ones (the "Do Something") So, while many may not like them, I am looking forward to doing more good challenges like the mountain biking one. |
