I've recently learned of the following definitions regarding additional waypoints (which is what you use to let the reviewer know of stages in a multi or puzzle cache, or parking coords for all to see, etc):
| Quote: |
Parking area = suggested parking
Trail Head = access point for a trail
Stage of a Multi = intermediate physical waypoint
Question to answer = intermediate virtual waypoint where information needs to be gathered
Reference point = point of reference when remaining designations are not applicable
Final Location = the final container with the log book. |
The thing to note is "Stage of a Multi" vs "Question to answer" and "physical" vs "virtual". |

| does that mean we only have to report physical stages of a multi-cache/puzzle? |

No, still report the virtual stages as well, just mark them as "question to answer" when selecting the waypoint type. |
