BLUF - Suspicious object similar to a pipe bomb was found in the woods West of the airport, but not near any gates, buildings, runways, etc., but didn't contain any explosives (I wonder if it had a log book and trinkets?).

Seems unlikely... There hasn't been a cache archved around there for several years, and of the current caches, bobtail is probably the only on big enough to be of concern--and it has been found sice the story broke.
