On the DNR website there is a page where they track flow of some waterways. Cannon River has two sensors near the Northfield area. You have to search around the site to find it.
Or, just call the Cannon Falls Canoe Rental. They won't rent if the river is too dangerous. Ask them about river conditions. I plan to be on the river this weekend if conditions are good. |

Hal-oween, Smiling Duo and I drove by the Cannon Falls Canoe Rental on Monday when we made our 150 in one day trek through 3 states. We waved as we went by. Those kayaks sure look like fancy coffins.  Saluuuuuuuuuute! |
