| Well I've not been on much and caching was cut short this summer as Geckoone hit a deer with his motorcycle 6 weeks ago. He broke his humrus bone, 2 hip fractures and hand as well as several other issues. Hes back on the rode to recovery but may face surgery down the line. Please keep in your thoughts as he goes through therapy, deals with the pain, and hopefully next year he gets back on a new bike. |

Wow - that doesn't sound like any fun, although I know it also can be a lot worse. Hopefully recovery comes quickly and easily for him.
I must say that deer are the biggest reason, by far, that I don't ride a motorcycle... _________________ Hmm... |

Yep not fun but I agree it could have been way worse. If he was not geared up he most certainly would not have made it.
I hear you - the funny part is I'm planning to pick up my new bike tonight. |

Camo - have you seen 1SG Kringlie's slide show yet? He gave us a pretty graphic class on POV safety a few months ago (he's a cop in ND), and if you can find the slides, you might think twice about that bike. Of course, those pictures are of people that weren't geared up and were doing something stupid.
Last night on my way home from work at midnight, I was being tailgated for a while by a biker on a rice rocket, and he was speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating, etc., and that potential organ donor was wearing a wife beater, shorts, sandals and no helmet.
All that aside, I'm wishing Geckoone a speedy recovery! _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

Good luck Gecko and Camo. You will be in our thoughts. Glad things are progressing well. _________________ "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods..." - Lord Byron |
