To most of you I have mentioned the possibility of me getting deployed. That time has come. As of the 17th of September I will be gone for a deployment of roughly 18-24 months. I wil probably not be on this site till I get back. Not really sure how much access I will have to computers while deployed.
As of right now I will hopefully have a couple of different parties watching most of my caches. If anyone has any issues with any of them while I am gone I would hope that you contact either "Milbank" (plans to watch the ones in Montevideo and north and west of here). 3-B Brothers plans on watching the others (I hope anyway). If any of you happen to notice anything wrong with my caches while I am gone I would sure appreciate it if you would let either of these parties know.
Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Dave
I've got more than 20 friends currently deployed to one of the two sandboxes. All get occassional to moderate access to the internet. Mostly e-mail but in may cases post on one of the web sites I moderate.
You take care and stay safe. Remember there are several caches to be found in Iraq properl. I seem to remember one off the end of the Bagdad airstrip.
Drop me an e-mail address and when you get a chance your APO for your deployed site and well see if we can arange a care package or two.

I have two friends stationed in Iraq now (one Army and one AF) and one stationed in Afghanistan. They all have pretty decent access to the Internet and routinely make phone calls and IM's home.
Best of luck to you sir. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

My status has now been changed on the deploying issue. I got moved from the going list to the overage list. Basically this means that I may not go at all. If someone however ended up getting injured that is on the deployment, I could possibly go at that time. _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!

You coming this way, LE?
After several months of trying to get things done, we finally got our internet connection set up. If you wind up near Baghdad, drop me a line. I'm at that prison that nobody likes to talk about, at least for the next few months.
