| I visited Mackinac shortly before discovering geocaching. The trip is worth it even without geocaching. Caching would be a bonus. Have considered going back again, this time with gps in hand. |

We did a trip there about three years ago and it was well worth our time. At that time, there were 60+ caches on the island. We took the first ferry over, got the ones close to the landing early, then biked around and up on top to cache, coming back on the last ferry that night. We did the same the next day, finished up with fudge and ice cream around 6PM. We also got a few on the mitten and picked up some on the way there and back. We'd like to do a return trip sometime, as many were archived and new ones have been placed. It's a great way to discover parts of the island most people miss.
We camped at a campground below the bridge. The others we went with split a motel up the road. It was a really fun trip. |

I think that looks like fun. _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |

We went 3 years ago and it was a good time. Biking is the way to go. _________________ Dinnae fash yersel (don't worry yourself) |
