I was doing a little web surfing when I came across a website that lists the location of penny presses (like the one at the state fair KARE 11 barn) all over the US. There are 40+ locations in Minnesota (several at the MOA alone): http://www.pennycollector.com/Locations.aspx?area=63
Unlike KARE 11's press, these ones are not free. Looks like all of them charge $0.50 plus you supply the penny. There are so many designs. I really love the Minnesota-themed do-dads for my travel bugs and now you don't have to wait for next year's State Fair to pick one up. |

| Thanks for this info, I glue pennies and cool coins on my Kennedy tool boxes at work. Now I started putting the State Park coins on my other tool box. |

| Thanks for the link. I love this type of stuff for trackables. I really want to get to the Children's Museum and make a few of the quarter ones. |

we found this at the end of november while in Davenport, IA for the day.

apparently there are a few caches near penny smashers.
We were in Amana Colonies, Amana, IA near here http://coord.info/GCT2D3 and we each did a penny for a keepsake. on subsequent visits we plan on doing more as we thought it would be great swag at caches outside the immediate area.
