|
|
The Spring Event Committee has determined the date and location for the event this spring:
The event will be held at Chester Park in Duluth on June 4th, 2011! More details (including the event page) will be coming out over the next few days as we work them out, but we wanted to make the announcement on the date and location NOW so that folks can get it on their calendar. _________________ Hmm...

| There's a great cache in that park for you grid people. Too bad this is the week following my visit so I won't be able to attend. |

I'm certainly not complaining, but a "Spring" event in June? _________________ Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. |

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that is "spring" in Duluth. _________________ Ahhhhhhhh, the power of cheese! |

And, you never know, it could be snowing still. I have seen snow in late May before. _________________ Effective parks and recreation facilities do not just happen on their own. Summer doesn't start until June 21st (maybe)!
I'm going to try and make this as it will probably be my last with the MnGCA. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

If you haven't done Park Scrambler yet, try to solve it prior to the event to add to your finds:

| As both members of MnGCA and NorWest Ontario Geocachers, Kathy and I have posted an invite to all members in Northwestern Ontario on the NorWest Ontario Geocachers site. Hopefully we can get a good group from Thunder Bay and surrounding area to head to Thunder Bay's sister City, Duluth Minnesota, for this event. Looking forward to it. |

| It would also be nice to know if a flashmob event is also being planned for this date seeing there is a flashmob for this date. WWFM VIII will be Saturday, June 4, 2011. So a two for one at this event would be a bonus. Flashmob pathtags available ? Lets get things rolling and consider this as well. New caches in the area for the event? Other events this weekend? cup of Joe? breakfast buddies? A lot of potential for a multiple event fun filled weekend, in a real sweet spot on lake superior. |

umm, there are limits on Events. Something like 15-20 miles apart, and 2-3 hours between them. |
