need help. I saved a few tracks w/pts to my sd card. I am having trouble downloading them to my topo map. I can't get the topo map program to read them. what do I do wrong?  _________________ Good Food,Good wine, Great Friends |

Is your "topo map" really Mapsend Topo? (there are about a bazillion programs called "blah topo something or another".
In a blinding flash of stupidity, exactly zero of the current Mapsend mutants will read waypoint, track, or route data on an SD card in the format written by the Meridians. You need a program to convert it to Mapsend format so that Mapsend can read it.
http://gpsbabel.sourceforge.net will do it - just set the input type as "magellan" and point it to your SD card and the output type as "mapsend" and you're good to go. |
