Don't let the moves bother you - I do it to new users and MnGCA Presidents all the same. It's just my attempt at keeping things in order (as seen through my eyes anyway).

We now need anti-trust proceedings to stop the monopoly.. Our webmaster and primary moderator is also our new reviewer. Is that power or what. I am kidding BTW. |

I broke this off a different thread as it's as good as any of an introduction for this:
At the same time I took on the role of Reviewer I also gave notice to the board that I would be resigning as the Forum Administrator pending their finding of a replacement. I viewed the role of Adminsitrator as a potential conflict of interest with any thread that included issues with Groundspeak and geocaching.com and didn't want to have any appearances of such, nor did I want to put myself into a position that I didn't want to be in down the road.
Some of you may not understand the Forum Administrator position:
The forum administrator is primarily responsible for the overall operation of the forums and their content. He/she isn't responsible for the actual software maintenance, but is responsible for the content of the forums and how they're laid out and managed. The forum moderators report to the administrator who reports to the board.
I can say with a fair amount of certainty that the board is not looking for applicants or volunteers at this point. Like a lot of jobs in the community, if you ask for it then it's pretty much guaranteed that you won't get it.
I'm unsure at this point if I'll be remaining as a moderator or not - that's a choice that the new administrator will have to make and I haven't made the decision yet if I'm interested in continuing as such or not.
My goal at the time of taking the administrator job was to make and keep the peace - a job I feel like I've accomplished (again, not without mistakes along the way). _________________ Hmm... |

| I've been trying to sift all the information and misinformation I've been seeing, but I think this is the first post I've seen where you confirm you're the new reviewer; congrats! |
