When Dyl1231 first started caching we ran into a cache on the Luce Line with a bunch of geo-beacon decoys around it. Thats when he hatched the idea to place a film canister in the woods, surrounded by 100 empty film cans.

The kid has always had evil ideas. But he looks to us adults to be role models.

I've been known to hide a decoy cache near other caches. But I always leave a note in the decoy "this is not the cache", or more likely "this is the DNF log cache". The latter so that people like me, who couldn't find the real cache, can at least log *something*.

Maybe someone else didn't find it and decided to leave a cache there so they could log it. The plot thickens, or at least something that stinks.


IF I recall...and I forget quick (its all those brain cell's I've killed).....
the cache had the name of the cache written on the cover. Bugs where bad..in that swampy area. So I just signed it as fast as I could and put the laker in it and got the heck outta there.

*I'm 99% sure the cache name was on the cover.
