so i stopped by the west metro TB inn yesterday. (bad idea)

i picked up two bugs for my upcoming travels. unfortunately i didn't do my homework. i picked up a bug that wants to go west, not east.

i also spied a piece of paper called the "chain reaction" TB. it was a clone of a bug tag, with instructions on how to clone it until 2006, when the project was to end. i thought that was a clever and unique idea, so i went to log the find. turns out the bug was deactivated because the concept of cloning doesn't jive with gc.com rules. too bad.

i can see how a cloned bug could put undo demand on the gc.com servers, and i'm sure gc.com doesn't want 100 different TB clones popping up, but if this was the first of its kind, it's too bad an interesting variation on the TB concept couldn't have been permitted.

next person to stop by the inn should remove the page. it won't be me, i suspect, although i do own rubber boots...

Hehe, I read the logs from the Chain Reaction TBug, some were mentioning it being the first geovirus.

This reminds of a tbug I found about a year ago, Alien Army of Chaos. It had 12 different "aliens" traveling under the same bug name. It had many miles. Now it has 106,000 "miles". Here's that link.
