I'm normally not a big paintball fan. In fact, I've only played once as part of a friends' bachelor party. I had a lot of fun, though, and I'm doing it again:
A friend of mine is trying to rally a bunch of people to attend this "Giant Big Game" in Hudson on 06 June 2004. Apparently there were 442 players last year and it's a ton of fun. We're all trying to invite as many people as we know that might be interested... figuring it'll be more fun with more people we know.
What else caught my eye was this:
| Quote: |
| Global Tracking Specialists: Each team may have a Global Tracking Specialists in any given scenario. Global tracking specialists will each be equipped with a handheld GPS (aka:Global Positioning System). Certain scenarios will require the use of coordinates to uncover hidden items critical to the outcome of the scenario. Points will be awarded to teams for each item recovered and turned into the main base hospital during the scenario. Global tracking specialists have no wound tags so protecting and keeping them out of harms way is a must in order to ensure victory for your team.... |
Figured this group of people would be the experts in that department.
The site is http://giantgame.com/ -- the site is hilarious, so even if you're not interested, check it out (esp. the photos) to get a taste of the subculture.
Let me know if you are interested in coming out.
