Has anyone else experienced disk drive failures recently when using Seagate SATA or PATA drives? I am at about 25% failure in less than a year with an inventory of about 14 drives between my servers and home PCs. There are websites out there saying it is an issue and that Seagate is hiding the problem. I am wondering if others are truly having problems or if I've just had a streak of bad luck.

I've only read about the problem, but I've heard that is true as well.

Amazon Deal of the Day has a Seagate 1.5TB hard drive.

Looks like it is the same kind everyone is having trouble with.

Thankfully, I haven't had any hard drives die except for our DVR but I think most of my drives are Western Digital.
