| The City of Brooklyn Park has now established its geocaching policy. The policy and registration form can be found here. |
I don't see anything about approval. And there's no email.
So registering is NOT required to have a cache published. Is this correct? |
I'm not clear from this if you saw the page 2.

Rules in Brief
1. All caches placed in Brooklyn Park Parks must be registered.
2. There is a limit of 10 caches per park.
3. Unregistered caches will be removed.
4. City of Brooklyn Park Geocaching policy applies to all caches in the parks.
5. All park ordinances apply. |
That (#3) kind of implies that registration is required.
I did speak (via email) a little with Mary Pat Black when I put the policy on the MnGCA site. You're right on the email - they want a hard copy of the form returned. I am not aware of any response though from them to you, although I didn't ask her either. |
That is my point.
It's like the DNR registration in Wisconsin. Send them the info (register), but there is no "approval" to submit to Surfer Joe.

There are others out there that work the same (Duluth just happens to come to mind as an example). You register the cache but you don't receive a reply. _________________ Hmm... |

| I have emailed them and asked them about this (and a few other things). I have not yet received a reply. |

| I currently have seven caches hidden in Brooklyn Park parks. I spoke with Mary Pat Black about them today. I asked her if I could email her the forms and the answer was a definite yes. So, I just sent them off to her and hopefully she will approve them all. It will be interesting to see how it goes. |
