Has anyone been watching Garmin in the stock market? I've been a casual observer since August, its been a wild ride. They were pretty well rated most of the year, went from around $55 in January to over $120 last week. They tanked a couple days ago after Nokia bought out NavTech.
Anyway, it's pretty interesting, I think us cachers are small potatoes compared to the car navigation market, but I like Garmin's customer service record - seems head over heels over Alpine and others. Of course, it if I actually bought their stock it would be the end of them... |

| Nice site - I like the way they provide links to news items. GRMS is up 4.93 since this AM, lots of irrational exuberance in the GPS world. You'd think they were iPhones. |

You misspelled "an absolute waste of time and money". Just figured I'd correct you _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Yes! I bought a little at just over $102. I should have sold on Monday but I was out of town and couldn't trade until yesterday. Not sure what to do now.

Navteq! Now that's what I should have bought: http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=nvt |

I got in yesterday at just under $100, this is the time where I need to turn off the stock feed to my desktop! (Looking good right now though...)

| Hang onto it through at least the end of the year... my hunch is the navteq deal was a knee jerk response. This stock has moved for a lot of strange reasons I'm not sure Wall St experts could really explain. But they do have an earnings report coming out the end of October, I'm guessing that will give it a spike. |

Bummer.. I sold a few days after my last message on this thread. If I hadn't sold then, I definitely would have sold when the Colorado came out! |
