The University of Minnesota Library would like to put on a geocaching presentation (and perhaps, some sort of demonstration) about geocaching through a workshop for library staff from the U and library staff across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota. This would be on May 5th, 2009 and the presentation blocks are arranged in one hour increments so the entire deal would either have to occur over an hour or two (depending upon how much you wanted to present and how much you wanted to have hands on experience). Participation for this event is guesstimated to be between 15 and 80 individuals.

We're looking to put 2 or 3 geocachers in contact with this group. Please post your interest in helping out with this within this thread and contact information will be passed on. Thanks!

Tesser, Andrewmcc--

I'm going to PM you the name and email address for this contact and I'll let you guys decide how you want to proceed.

Thanks!

Also, the more help the better with this, so if it is something you're interested in helping out with, please post your intent here still.

I am interested in helping out on this as well.

Can't talk about Libraries and Geocaching without mentioning the Constance Doty Memorial Geocache, http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=e230a32a-a969-4d84-bd16-924341b83894

Let me know what you are up to and I will try to help out best I can.

I think the University got enough blood from me so I find it hard to volunteer. Worse yet, I'd hate to be a new student trying to fund college today. Now, back on topic Wink

Kurt - are you still interested in helping out? Andrew and I are set to give the class, but now we are being asked if we want to set up an information table and just talk to people who come up between sessions and during lunch. The event is Tuesday, May 5th at the U of M Radisson.

Anyone interested? Please let me or AndrewMCC know.

Thanks!

I might be willing to help if the need is still there.
