Hope you are alright and the motorcycle rider too...

They must have been moving along at a pretty good clip to cause that kind of damage to an automobile.

Good thing the person is still alive. It only takes one accident to realize that you should be wearing a helmet! I harped on my friend for months, until he got into an accident and then proceeded to wear all his gear every time he was on his cycle.

Will these caches turn into a pumpkin after October 31st or will the be around for a while?

(I'm asking for selfish reasons, after hearing such good things about previous years I've added doing them to my goals for this year, but I'm going to be away for a part of October & November - was curious if they'd still be around near the end of November? I'm not asking to keep them around, just wondering what you had planned.)

Of the 13 caches from last year's series, 9 are still in play. Here's a status...

Halloween 2007: Silky Smooth (GC16C5Q) - Renamed to Kept At Arms Length and then recently archived to make room for Halloween 2008.
Halloween 2007: Give an inch, take a foot (GC16C5Z) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: Preying to the aliens (GC16C5V) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: Rest in piece (GC169F1) - Probably the biggest hit from last year's series. Recently archived to make room for Halloween 2008.
Halloween 2007: All wound up (GC1698F) - Archived because it was located in a light pole and I was worried about eletrical hazzard.
Halloween 2007: Eating crow (GC16951) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: We all end up this way (GC1694Y) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: All you zombies (GC168QX) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: Swamp thing (GC168QV) - Original container vandalized. Replaced with non-theme container and renamed to Swamp Thing. Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: Give me a hand (GC16859) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: Dem bones (GC16856) - The container was too fragile and broke. Replaced with non-theme container and renamed to Cache Factory Ruins. Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: From the vines (GC1684Y) - Cache still in play.
Halloween 2007: Trick-or-treat (GC16C6Q) - Archived because too many other puzzle elements had been taken out of the game.

I'll be taking a reporter/photographer out on Friday for some caching and will be hitting several of these caches. Won't be able to do them all with him but will get several.
