I voted yes. I proposed something like this, as a fund-raiser, months ago. If I sell something through here, I want to donate a portion of the 'loot' towards the cost of running this forum.
eBay gets a cut, newspaper ads aren't cheap. It'd have to be voluntary, I suppose, but I'm all for it. Is it too much trouble to make it a hidden thread, for those who might not want it?
If approved, this comes at a perfect time, I'm having a couple garage sales this month, and have too much stuff for them. |

hmm...since i'm selling a bunch for gps at the given time...
you'd think I'd say YES...but I voted no.
reason...I think your better off selling gps and software sales on the national threads. Unless you want to just give a MINNESOTA cacher a deal. |

You would be if it was for trading too. No shipping, probably could just pick whatever up. That saves a bunch of money.
Granted it probably wouldn't be used that much, but I'd come here first to sell a gps before I hit ebay. |

OOPS..I wanna change my vote...I just remembered something.
I might be in the need of some help from an Electrician....
I'm selling my house and got to get a few of the wiring issues up to code. Such as GFI outlet in the Kitchen. Grounded outlets to be really grounded.
But my tricky one is I gotta do a GFI outlet in the bathroom.
Simple wiring on most of the things but scares the crap outta me when I gotta put in a hole in my wall for a new outlet.
I guess I could be a prink and have no outlets at all in the bathroom. (My current outlets are not grounded on a wall lamp). |

I voted yes, yes, YES!
Would there be a constraint on what can be sold? Only items relating to geocaching or just anything? _________________ |

Yeah, good point. I'd limit it to caching stuff. We tend to limit to arcade stuff on BYOAC.com (where I mod and hence the avatar)..
Like I said, it wouldn;t get used much but I am sure it would get used. |

I voted yes, and I think we're a small enough group that it wouldn't get out of hand if it wasn't limited to just geocaching related items--someone into homebrew would sell b/s/t stuff on a homebrew forum, and not here; someone into a home arcade would b/s/t stuff on a home arcade forum, and not here; etc. If it does get out of hand, then TPTB can then limit it to just geocaching stuff. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

True that. You know what comes out of a b/s/t forum, that one guy on the forum that you can goto if you need something Actually, I think I found a source of cheap copper plating drop off here in WI. Now just find a cheap source of plastic and magnets and I could make external antennas! |

I have my "old" GPS Centris. I bought my new one with part of my lotto winnings. I now have my Magellan "Sporttrak Map" (this is the old one.) & my new one is a Garmin "GPSmap 60CS".
I thought I had a buyer locally for my old one, but he ran into some financial problems so he was unable to buy it. |
