I'm trying to get a sense of which GPS'er you're using so that if we do a Tech Q/A at the Fall event, we can answer your questions intelligently.
If you're using an "other", would you please post to let us know what you're using?

There is a huge difference between the Garmin 60/76 and the Garmin 60/76 'X' series, they almost need their own category.

I agree--unfortunately it won't let me adjust or change the categories now that the poll is "on". I see a couple other GPS'rs I've missed, thus creating the "let me know what "other" unit you have. I realize once you get a brand you kinda forget that others exist.

i have a garmin map 60, and a map 60cs. since i purchased the 60cs i don't touch the 60. after using the 60cs for over a year 1/2, i could never go back to a non colored gps screen. so much easier on the eyes IMHO. i've never used any thing but a garmin, so i'm kind of biased, but a buddy of mine has a lowrance <?sp.>, don't remember the model, but i think the garmin blows it away. I voted for Garmin GPSmap 60, but after reading the thread, I should add the "CSx" caveats. I have a friend who works part-time in the camping department at REI, and she's trying to sell me on the Oregon, but I've been happy with what I have, and I'll have to break it beyond repair before I upgrade. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain

I use the Colorado 400T for caching now but had a 76CSx that I used before that. I really like the 76CSx and only upgraded because my wife bought the Colorado for me for a father's day/anniversary present. Now that I am using the Colorado a bunch I like it better. The only thing that I do not like about the Colorado is the data entry. I carried a Palm Pilot and the 76 and was able to track TBs, coins, notes and etc. I have to admit that data entry with that wheel is a total pain in the neck. OTOH, having the hints, the last several logs and the complete description of the cache all on one unit is great. The only things that I do not like about the units is their screen. In bright sunlight it is hard to see the screen, I turn up the backlight and with the 76 changed the screen colors to try to make it work. The very first gps that I got was a VistaCx and love that screen display as I can see it in the sun. If the powers that be at Garmin were to ask me what I would do to make an already great system better it would be to put that Vista screen on that Colorado unit............. (also fix the data entry but I think the Oregon took care of that) and it would be perfect.
