Here's my favorite mathematician joke:

A doctor, lawyer and mathematician were arguing over whether it was better to have a mistress or a wife.

The doctor's opinion: "Considering sexually transmitted diseases like AIDS, herpes and gonorrhea, marriage is obviously the best option."

The lawyer disagreed: "Marriage is a legal contract with risks like divorce and alimony. You can get everything you want without the legal risks by having a mistress".

The mathematician seemed perplexed: "Why don't you have both? Your wife can think you are with your mistress. Your mistress can think you are with your wife, ... and you can just do math!"
