How few posts about Minnesota, or from Minnesotans there are on "the big site" since about the time this board got constructed? I like that. That board can be full of jerks.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating:

I think we all owe towlebooth a huge thank you for maintaining and actively adding to this webpage. Thanks towlebooth!
I only go to the "big site" for stuff like gpsr info, like when the Garmin 60cs was introduced. It has a lot of good information on technical stuff. Oh yeah, they have a lot of good CITO discussion too. For talkin' cachin', mngca.org is where it's at, for me at least. _________________ |

I just got back from spending the weekend in So. Cal., and hit a couple of trads and quite a few virts--people from outside of our group are pleasant to deal with when you visit their caches (I've got a couple of people thanking me for finding their caches, and have had quick replies on a few of the virts) but they can be so nasty on the boards--not the same people I've dealt with, but people from outside our group. Some newbie asks an innocent question on the newbie board, and gets shot down for not using the user-UNfriendly search function, and most of those threads seem to go off on some totally unrelated tangent where it's normally just a couple of people bashing each other. So, thanks, Chad, for maintaining this!!! _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

It's not the site that's cool but the people and their content. You all rock! |

I've found that most folks appreciate it when a non-local cacher identifies his/herself as such upon finding caches in an area, especially if you include a nice log entry on-line (case in point: how welcome y'all have made me feel on my visits here). It's always fun to meet (or just "virtually meet" on-line) fellow cachers from other areas...everyone has something to offer in our great game, and perspectives from other areas can spread great ideas.

| Good idea Drat19, I'll have to remember that when I'm caching out in Seattle at the end of the month. |
