More standard compliant, little to no spyware, frequent updates for security and general version upgrades, open source, cross-platform, extensions, no ActiveX, etc, etc.

And it's painless.
I installed and configured it and was using the Google Map feature in Geocaching.com, plus the caching features in Google Maps in less than 5 minutes. Firefox effortlessly imported all my IE bookmarks, without affecting IE.
